My passion as a recent graduate from UCLA is to help students achieve their goal of furthering their education. My prior background in tutoring has given me numerous skills and has taught me much about student behavior. Over the years I have been able to create new ways of approaching tutees. I have come across all different personalities and behaviors, hence allowing me to construct multiple techniques on approaching homework problems, teaching creativeness, and also aiding students who feel frustrated with complex topics. I have experience in tutoring multiple subjects including reading comprehension, grammar, ESL, writing, cursive, elementary math, and science. I have tutored for two companies, both were branches of UCLA. I volunteered at Project Spell which helped adults with ESL. My duties included making lesson plans, having tutee sessions, monthly meetings with the coordinator, and goal setting. Additionally, I worked for Bruin Corps which is a company that aids needy children in downtown Los Angeles. I worked at an after school site where I helped elementary and middle school children with English, math, and science homework. I also read with the children and helped them enhance their organizational skills.
